Hello, you don't know me, but I saw your son's sweet face on the website and it almost made me cry.  He looks so much like my boy (also on this site) when he was that age.  Then I see by coincidence that his birthday is May 16th, same as my child and your son was killed in June, again same as my son.

I don't know why these things happen.  I know the hurt is fresher for you, as you only lost your child 2 years ago.  It's been 4 years for me and not a day goes by when you don't think about it.  But in time, your thoughts will be more and more about the good times you remember and a sense of peace comes over you when you realize your child will never truly be "gone".  He will live on in your heart forever.

God bless you and your family.  Maybe our boys will meet in heaven one day!

Hi,

My name is Chiree Whitaker and I ran across your sons memorial site. It really touched my heart. I to lost my son, You can visit him at michaelshaun.memory-of.com. He was 18 years old. But, he wasn't murdered, he took his own life. I know your pain on March 17, 2008 at 12:51 p.m. my life was forever changed. My baby boy, my only son was gone forever. Looking at your son's website he reminded me alot of my Shaun by some of the things he did. Shaun loved to fight to. But, he would light up any room he walked in. He just had the personality that attracted people. I can honestly say that to lose a child is a pain that I don't wish on anyone. Espcially if they lose them tragically. Your son was a beautiful kid and I know he is a beautiful angel and him and my Shaun have got together and are having the time of their lives. I will revisit again.
